Introduction#

Welcome to 3D+AI, the software library for 3D reconstruction at the edge with AI. This guide will help you to go through the understanding and proper use of the library, both as a user and as a developer.

3D+AI is available both in full-licensed version and in time-limited trial version, which is currently available only on the StereoCam Starter Kit from Deep Vision. In this second case, don’t rush on the 3D+AI trial: make sure to check the documentation of your Starter Kit first, by following all the instructions at https://resources.dvkits.com; you will find there relevant information regarding:

  • kit content

  • quickstart guide to move your first steps on your kit

  • proper usage of camera modules, with and without hardware trigger

  • Jumpstart code, its GitHub repository and license terms

  • BSP and Yocto metalayers

  • other software dependencies

In order to ease the understanding of 3D+AI, the software library is bundled with a demo application provided both in compiled and source format (C++ code). You will use it first to quickly launch 3D+AI on your device and then to take inspiration for writing your own applications. The source code of the demo application is available in the 3D+AI GitHub repository.

3D+AI software library is licensed under the "3D+AI User License Agreement": you will be asked to review and accept it before your first use of the library.
